Thanks to the USD 500,000 loan, ASEI was able to provide almost 1,250 microloans to people who primarily use the money for small business activities and farming. ASEI has almost 25,000 customers. 80% of its customers are women who mainly borrow via group loans. ASEI’s customers also get access to quality healthcare services. For a contribution of USD 1.50, they have unlimited access to these services. The loan granted to ASEI in 2018 was repaid in full in 2020, and half of the outstanding capital of the loans issued in 2019 and 2020 has already been repaid.
