BRS Microfinance Coop ceases to exist

Opting for simplification and intensified cooperation with partners Alterfin and Incofin Microfinance Fund

Leuven, 13 May 2026 - At an Extraordinary General Meeting, the partners of BRS Microfinance Coop approved the Board of Directors' proposal to voluntarily dissolve the cooperative. This dissolution will take effect at midnight on 30 June 2026. With this step, BRS is consciously opting for simplification. Commitments in microfinance continue unabated, henceforth through Cera's increased participation in the Belgian cooperatives Alterfin and Incofin Microfinance Fund.

1. When will I receive the dividend for the financial year 2025

The dividend payment for the financial year 2025 will be made on May 19, 2026 with value date on May 20, 2026.

2. When will I receive the contribution on the cooperative A shares?
  • You will receive a reimbursement of your contribution value on 2 July 2026, with a value date of 3 July 2026.
  • If you have already registered a request for voluntary withdrawal in 2026, you will also receive a reimbursement of your contribution on 2 July 2026.
    (Registration of a request for voluntary withdrawal will no longer be possible from 20 June 2026 due to the administrative processing required for the reimbursements.)
3. To which account will the money be refunded?

The money will be refunded to your current revenue account.
