Hermes Gaibor was founded by 16 people in 1998 and this savings and credit cooperative now has 11,000 members. It is a relatively small organisation with 27 employees, all of whom are highly motivated.
Hermes Gaibor is a very socially oriented organisation that aims to serve its local community as much as possible. The clientele consists for 27% of farmers who grow mainly berries, sugar cane, oranges, honey, maize, bananas, cacao and coffee.
